1. Product introduction

This folding duckbill-type earth anchor uses a central shaft with hinged blades that sit flush along the body during transport. A drive rod inserted through the shaft lets you hammer it to depth with minimal soil disturbance. When the tendon is pulled upward, the blades swing out perpendicular to the shaft and lock against undisturbed soil, creating a reliable toggle anchor.

A practical duckbill-style anchor alternative — the same driven, pivoting toggle action, but produced from folded and welded steel rather than a cast body, giving you a leaner supply chain and a lower landed cost.

Need more holding power? We can add a second layer of blades or widen the bearing surface to increase the resisting area in the soil, delivering higher pull-out values without changing the installation method.

5. How to install

Step 1 — Drive: Insert the drive rod through the shaft and hammer the anchor vertically into the soil to the target depth. Keep the blades aligned so they fold smoothly during driving.

Step 2 — Attach: Remove the drive rod and connect your cable, rope or rod to the attachment point at the top of the shaft.

Step 3 — Set: Apply steady upward tension. The blades swing out into a perpendicular toggle-lock position in the soil. The anchor is set and ready to hold.
